PAINTING STUDIO 1 CLASS PORTFOLIO
This was a semester long class I took during the Fall 2020 Semester at the University of Pittsburgh. The course focused on learning technical painting skills while exploring creative avenues in abstraction and realism with our subject matter. I gained ample experience with mixing paint as well as using linseed oil and impasto paste to achieve a heightened sense of depth in my work. This portfolio contains 4 extensive assignments that were worked on both in and outside of class. Assignment were completed on either 16" x 20" cotton canvas or various sizes of Bristol and printmaking paper. Each Assignment took roughly 10-18 hours to complete over a 1-3 week period (depending on assignment).
